THE BEISHUIZEN FAMILY

Meet Travis, the visionary behind Beisview, who laid the groundwork for our thriving venture back in 2016 with a humble commercial herd. Our journey to excellence accelerated when we acquired our first purebred, Remin’s Kosmic Cow 23B, in 2017, marking the inception of our commitment to superior genetics. In 2018, we expanded our horizons by adding five heifers from Rodney Remin. The pivotal moment came in December 2022, when we doubled our herd by acquiring Rodney Remin’s entire herd, catapulting us into a new realm of breeding potential.

Since then, our herd has flourished through strategic AI and diverse genetic acquisitions, all while honoring our roots as fourth-generation farmers on our family land. Nestled across approximately 900 organic acres, where we cultivate corn, soybeans, wheat, peas, and hay, our farm is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and quality.

Currently calving around 60 head of purebred Speckle Park and equipped with four herd bulls for live cover and AI, we’ve meticulously curated a herd that excels in functionality, productivity, and efficiency, catering to both the purebred and commercial industries. Our dedication to excellence extends beyond the pastures; in 2023, we proudly showcased our herd at the Royal Winter Fair’s inaugural Speckle Park show, a testament to our commitment to breeding excellence.

At Beisview, family is at the heart of everything we do. Travis, Jackie, Kira, and Brooke, along with our dedicated team, are deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the farm. We extend a warm invitation to all visitors to experience our herd firsthand through guided tours and discussions about genetic opportunities. Join us as we continue to shape the future of Speckle Park breeding with passion, dedication, and a deep-rooted commitment to excellence.

THE BEISHUIZEN FAMILY

Speckle Park are Canadian! Speckle Park had their beginning in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada – a first for Saskatchewan. Their development took place in Alberta and Saskatchewan along the Yellow Head Highway between North Battleford, Saskatchewan and Spruce Grove, Alberta. Speckle Park were only the second breed of beef cattle in Canada to be granted distinct breed status.

Speckle Park cattle are known for their high-quality carcass, efficient feed conversion and their meat quality. Loyal to their baseline heritage, Aberdeen Angus, Teeswater Shorthorn and White Park, Speckle Park cattle offer a new and balanced approach to genetic improvement on behalf of the global purebred cattle sector, especially at the feedlot.
